Rules and Policies

  1. Guests are only allowed at Winter Formal and Prom and only after a guest pass application has been approved by the administration.

  2. Only Hilmar High School students and their approved guests may attend HHS Dances.

  3. HHS students can only sponsor one guest and must accompany that guest at the door.

  4. HHS students MUST present a valid HHS Student ID Card at the door.

  5. Students and guests are subject to all state, district, and campus rules and policies.

  6. Students and guests will not be allowed to enter a dance after it has been in progress for one hour.

  7. All students and guests may be required to submit to a Breathalyzer alcohol detection test prior to admittance to or dismissal from any dance.

  8. Students and guests who depart the dance early will not be re-admitted to the dance.

  9. There is no loitering outside the dance at any time.

  10. No smoking, alcoholic beverages, or drugs are allowed at any dances.

  11. Obscene, sexually suggestive, or lewd dancing will not be tolerated. Students failing to follow rules are subject to disciplinary action.

  12. Students and guests must follow standards expected of Hilmar High School students in their dancing, language, and behavior must strictly adhere to regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook.

  13. Good behavior and cooperation is required. Unacceptable behavior will result in individual(s) being requested to leave and will be subject to disciplinary action.

  14. In case of any misconduct on the part of my guest, I, the host/hostess, realize that I will be subject to disciplinary action and/or forfeiture of my privilege of attending any further functions at Hilmar High School during the remainder of the school year. I understand that it is my responsibility to explain to my guest the rules of conduct and dress for a school function.
