Thank you to all the families who joined us on Monday evening for Back to School Night and our Club Rush preview—it was wonderful to see our campus buzzing with community support. That energy carried right into Tuesday's lunch, where students enthusiastically signed up for campus organizations and discovered new ways to get involved.

Freshman Focus: College & Career Readiness Starts Now, Yellowjackets!

Our counseling team recently visited 9th-grade classes for "Freshman Focus" lessons to ensure a smooth high school transition. These sessions help students build campus connections and understand critical graduation and A-G requirements. Freshman year—and freshman grades—matter immediately, as A-G eligibility requires earning a "C" or better. Our goal is for every student to graduate from Hilmar High School both college- and career-ready so they have the power to choose their path.

Attendance Update: We're Hitting Our Goals!

Every day in class counts, and our Yellowjackets are showing up strong! Our schoolwide goal is to maintain a 96% attendance rate, and every single grade level is currently exceeding that mark. Leading the way are our 9th graders with an outstanding 97.84% attendance rate, followed closely by 11th grade at 97.45%, 10th grade at 96.74%, and 12th grade at 96.10%. Thank you to our families for partnering with us to build consistent habits—let's keep this momentum going all year long!
