Hilmar High School Happenings

In classrooms throughout campus, students are working together to solve problems, share ideas, ask questions, and learn new things. In this Ag Science lab, students are engaged in hands-on learning as they collaborate, investigate, and build their understanding together.

This is what learning looks like at HHS! 

Every day and every period counts at Hilmar High School! From August 13 through September 25, our schoolwide average daily attendance stood at 96.46%. Even with a slight 2% dip from last week, we are still surpassing our school goal of 96%.

Daily attendance helps students stay engaged with their teachers, peers, and coursework. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our Yellowjackets in class, growing every day. Don't forget: when you miss school, you miss out on both learning and the fun!

This week, our U.S. History Dual Enrollment students welcomed an MJC librarian into their classroom to support them with college-level research. Opportunities like this are one of the many benefits of dual enrollment. Our students are not only earning college credit while still in high school, but they are also gaining experience with the expectations, resources, and skills they will need to be successful in college. Connecting our students directly with MJC resources helps make the transition from high school to college more familiar and gives them a chance to practice being college students while they are still here at Hilmar High School.
